Decades ago a man named David Berg began a cult he called the Children of God. A former Christian and Missionary Alliance pastor, David Berg (aka Moses David), claimed to be the fulfillment of the Ezekiel 37:24 verse, "David my servant shall be king over them." Walter Martin dealt with this cult during his lifetime, and eventually they changed their name (and then changed it once again) in the wake of stories of suspected brainwashing like those of Fleetwood Macs road manager, and abuse.
