I will talk with Juliea Paige Bearth Doula about her spiritual path and professional work, including her work as a birth doula, an artist, a reiki master, and an organizer of a womens moon circle gathering. Juliea is a womban who wears many hats - and likes it that way. She was born into an unstable family life of alcoholism, abandonment and sexual abuse that ended up leading to foster care, juvenille facilities & treatment centers. When she became a mother at 16 she began making an effort to not only change her world, but the world around her. What started as anger at the injustices of the world has simmered down to a steady flame which feeds her seemingly never ending supply of desire and energy to continue to facilitate that change. Spiritually, Juliea has never been drawn to religion as a means to connect with "God" or "Goddess". She has always followed her instincts which have led her to know and trust in the Earth and Sky, as well as herself as WOMBan. She is passionate about helping women re-connect with their bodies, to reclaim their cycles and their voices. She believes in and practices sacred menstruation, she is the founder and elder of a Sister Moon Circle and has worked as a professional and certified bEARTH doula for 3 years, now taking on apprentices and teaching these ways to the womben to come.
